Analog motor resolvers are designed for applications where it is not possible to use digital position shaft angle encoders, for instance, in high temperature, vibration and contamination conditions. They are sufficient substitute to both incremental encoders and absolute encoders. Another feature is that you get an analog signal with infinite resolution. Main applications are positioning, commutation and velocity feedback. Resolvers are quite simple rugged devices without fragile electronics on board. The main parts of the resolver are a cylindrical rotor and stator. Depending on the application, resolvers can be frameless and housed. Housed resolvers additionally have a sealed housing that provides additional protection. The body is made of steel or aluminum with high integrity seals. High quality motor-grade or instrument grade ball bearings for smooth and continuous performance and constant air gap between stator and rotor. There is a range of standard installation sizes: 8, 10, 11, 15, 21 etc. This kind of device is usually applied for factory automation, textile industry equipment, robotics, pulp and paper processing machines, plastics manufacturing facilities, steel and wood works, etc. Harowe is a division of Dynapar company specialized in production of high quality motor resolvers.
