Shaft encoders allow easy integration to any motor through the use of a flexible coupling that allows to adjust the unit to different kinds of motors even to non typical devices, simply replacing the couplings. Additionally this type of connection ensures electrical insulation from the main unit.

Dynapar offers 27 models of incremental shaft encoders and 18 absolute feedback type models. Also models may vary by sensing technology type, housing material etc. There are models for hazardous and non-hazardous environments. There is a special E12-14 series of ultra-miniature encoders for commercial and industrial use.
