The main functions of Pilz PRTM hand-held operator’s terminals are programming, teaching and diagnosis. This is an integral part of the Pilz robotics system, consisting of a manipulator module, control unit and PRTM operating module itself with ROS software module on board. This is a modern solution suitable for a big variety of applications. It is equipped with fast hardware, wide touch HD-capable screen, as well with additional hardware buttons which also includes an E-Stop button. Everything is packed into an ergonomic and robust housing designed for industrial use.
PRTM unit is supplied with pre-installed Pilz ROS-software. This is a user friendly intuitive interface with visualization modules. It means that the operator doesn’t require special programming skills to work with it. All presets can be done fast and easy. Or even downloaded from the USB-storage device. ROS package is an open source software, it means that new functionalities, drivers and updates are always available via a shared community of Pilz equipment users from all over the globe. Also ROS software allows to integrate Pils units into equipment packages of other suppliers.
