Resolvers

Dynapar motor resolvers are the best solution for situations when you need stable performance in high temperature conditions as well other extreme environments, such as radiation, dust contamination, vibration and shocks etc. As there is no onboard electronics is it ok to apply resolvers for applications where classic encoders won’t survive. There are two main types of resolvers: housed and frameless units. Housed resolver has its own rugged housing and can withstand shocks and vibration. Usually housing is made of aluminum or steel. Frameless resolvers are installed directly into servo motors, direct drive motors and rotary platforms. However you require a separate converter to transform incoming analog signals into digital. Main applications of resolvers are as follows:

-       Velocity rate feedback

-       Motor commutation

 Single speed resolvers usually used for position measuring. Velocity feedback resolvers can be multi- or single-speed depending on application, as multi-speed resolvers provide smoother motion compared to single speed versions. Resolvers for motor commutation are popular in such applications as steel production, nuclear plants, etc.
